Winter Solstice Drum Circle
Celebrate Winter Solstice in Community! Ever been to a drum circle or want to learn more about them? Come join Cody as he leads us in celebrating the longest night of the year, the death and rebirth of the Sun and the natural medicine of conscious gathering with some ceremonial music.
FREE COMMUNITY EVENT:
Drum circles are about a sense of community and since this is our first one to host it is free to the community! Donations are welcomed.
Water, coffee, and teas will be available. If weather is tolerable, we may even drum some outside on the deck and side yard.
WHEN/WHERE: Wednesday, December 21st @ 6:30pm – 8pm-ish CST @ 22 Jefferson Ave, Evansville, IN, Tree of Life Counseling’s place.
WHAT TO BRING:
If you’ve got a drum, woodblock, shakers, bell or some form of percussion- awesome, bring it! We hope to have some extra ones to share as needed and if for some reason we run out, then we’ve got a wood floor, plates, spoons and your beautiful imagination. Don’t worry if you are rhythmically challenged or have physical limitations. Embrace the creativity and vibrations around you.
RULES:
No experience is required, but certainly welcomed. What we do require to participate is your value of peace, love and harmony. Be respectful of property, people’s space and open to connecting with your true self and others without bringing any harm to the property or those present!
